About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
Marketplace Sales Specialist
with strong knowledge of the
textile and fashion market in Istanbul
, including local vendors, brands, manufacturers, and wholesale suppliers. The ideal candidate has previously worked in a similar role in an e-commerce marketplace and is capable of onboarding high-quality sellers, managing vendor relationships, and growing the platform's product supply.

This role is crucial for expanding Mazad's marketplace presence and building a strong network of textile partners across Türkiye.

Key Responsibilities
1. Vendor Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify and recruit textile vendors, fashion brands, wholesalers, and manufacturers across Istanbul.
  • Present Mazad's value proposition to potential sellers and negotiate onboarding terms.
  • Manage the complete onboarding process, ensuring vendors upload products correctly and comply with marketplace policies.

2. Market Research & Vendor Targeting

  • Maintain strong understanding of Istanbul's textile ecosystem: factories, Laleli/Osmanbey/Zeytinburnu markets, local brands, and exporters.
  • Analyze market trends and identify high-demand product categories to target.
  • Build and maintain an updated database of textile suppliers and emerging fashion brands.

3. Sales & Relationship Management

  • Convert leads into active sellers and ensure ongoing vendor satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure vendors remain active and grow their assortment.
  • Support vendors with pricing strategies, assortment planning, and sales optimization.

4. Performance & Reporting

  • Achieve monthly onboarding and sales targets.
  • Track vendor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare weekly reports for management on vendor acquisition and category growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience
    in a marketplace, B2B e-commerce, or fashion/textile sales role.
  • Strong network and relationships within Istanbul textile markets (Osmanbey, Laleli, Merter, Zeytinburnu, Bayrampaşa, etc.).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors, follow up, and ensure high-quality onboarding.
  • Understanding of marketplace dashboards, product listings, pricing, and catalog quality.
  • Turkish fluency is required; Arabic or English is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with platforms like Trendyol, Hepsiburada, ÇiçekSepeti, Pazarama, or N11.
  • Knowledge of textile product categories: apparel, fabrics, modest fashion, kidswear, accessories, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-growing startup environment.
