Automation Engineer

  
Position Purpose:
 

You will be responsible for managing assigned Capex projects by fulfilling definitions, introducing, planning, and implementing phase requirements together with proper communication of all related parties. Additionally accountable for compliance of projects with technical standards and CAPEX management policies and procedures. You take a role in introducing new technology to related parties in the factory to establish a competitive quality and cost level.

Your role involves supporting engineering technical staff, production, and QC equipment modifications and improvement to ensure that product quality always meets or exceeds customer expectations at optimum cost while complying with company standards.

What will you do – responsibilities: 

Management Activities:

• Within budget and schedule by JTI standards of quality and EHS measures
• Outside engineering service
• Contractors and equipment vendors to implement
• Technical Services Group will provide coaching to improve the performance of subordinates
   

Implements Investment:

• within full communication with the requester department;
• projects that are compliant with technical standards and CAPEX management policies and procedures
• Gathers financial information on the investment projects, and evaluates and maintains proper data availability on project progress
   

Project Activities:

• Assists management systems (ISO 9002 and 14001) implementations, improvements and documentation.
• Assures full compliance of Project activities (carried out by JTI personnel or contractors) to EHS initiatives and standards
   

Supporting Production:

• Supports production and QC in defining and implementing optimum maintenance programs by coordinating with global functions, and third parties and maintaining a high level of technical expertise in the team
   

Performance:

• Adapts and applies Global Engineering, factory and regional initiatives, and best practices to improve factories' performance
   

Business Approval:

• Prepare specs/scope of works where needed for BAP purposes or project developments
• Create BAP documents in the intranet system
   

Who are we looking for – requirements: 

• University degree in Engineering - Electric & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Automation Engineer
• Advanced level of English knowledge
• Minimum 3 years of similar work experience
• Advanced level of MS Office S/W packages
• AutoCAD knowledge is an asset
• PLC, SCADA, and digital knowledge are preferred
• Beckhoff Automation knowledge will be a plus
