RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Test&Commissioning Engineer to join its office in Istanbul within the Transport & Mobility Division.

Mission


We are searching for Commissioning Engineers (Senior Mechanical/Electrical Engineer) candidates to work full-time with us at the construction site office located in Baghdad/Iraq for special projects. General scope of work may be subject to project requirements but in minimum Commissioning Engineer will be responsible of assuring customer, client, and international requirements to be fulfilled by the suppliers of the project on site, supervising the site works, managing the method of statements together with subcontractors of client, supervising the tests at site related to commissioning. 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Develop plans and make calculations for a variety of elements within an engineering project, draw blueprints and structural diagrams under the supervision of a principal engineer or a managing engineer
  • Provide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements, visit sites to take measurements Provide direct or indirect support to engineers or engineering teams by gathering data for permit applications, submitting documentation to officials and other day-today duties
  • Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines under the supervision of more experienced engineers Prepare the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering drawings, etc.)
  • Prepare progress reports and present them to engineers and other personnel Be aware and understand the Quality Policy.
  • Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS. Be aware of the quality of his own work and its impact on service delivery and contribute to the QMS improvement according to his/her role
  • Answer complex contractor questions on behalf of the supervising engineer, and serve as liaisons between engineering and construction personnel
What are we looking for

 

  • Relevant degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in civil construction activities and controlling of such
  • Experience in consulting services and or project management
  • MUST have a background in Test and Commissioning
  • Experience in design review, verification and inspection activities in national and international projects is a plus
  • Good level of knowledge and thorough understanding of CIBSE standard, international standards, Bream, codes and requirements
  • Minimum 10 years experience in engineering within reputable projects and/or companies
  • Strong technical knowledge in MEP inspections
  • English speaking and writing is a must in the upper intermediate level. (Secondary language is a plus)
  • Good level of computer knowledge of office programs
  • Calm, constructive and proactive in professional relations with individuals
  • Good conciliation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as part of a team and be safety conscious
  • Ability to supervise other site or QA/QC engineers
  • Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing the efficiency or quality of the work
  • Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines  #LI-DP1
