What You Will Need to Be Successful

  • University degree in information technologies/computer science or an IT-related field.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with demonstrated experience in a technical or coordination role.
  • Proven experience with the Microsoft security stack (Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of threat detection, response, vulnerability management, and security architecture. Strong ability to develop detection rules and improve SIEM functionality.
  • Microsoft SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst) and/or SC-100 (Cybersecurity Architect) certifications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify threats and implement countermeasures.

What Will You Work On

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cyber Defense and Incident Response Architect with extensive experience in Microsoft Security Solutions (Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint (XDR), Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, etc.). The ideal candidate will hold certifications such as Microsoft SC-200 (Microsoft Security Operations Analyst) and/or SC-100 (Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect).

This role is crucial in supporting and enhancing the organization's cyber defense by providing technical expertise, coordinating incident response activities, and collaborating across teams to strengthen our security posture.

  • Coordinate escalations, responses, resolutions, and reporting for high-severity cybersecurity incidents that have potential business impacts.
  • Provide on-call support during off-hours for high/critical escalations, ensuring swift and efficient resolution.
  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of comprehensive security solutions and best practices, focusing on identity management, device control, data protection, applications, network security, and infrastructure defense.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate advanced threats such as Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), zero-day vulnerabilities, and insider threats.
  • Utilize Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) scanners for threat detection and mitigation, and conduct comprehensive scans using signature-based detection, anomaly analysis, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop and fine-tune custom detection rules beyond traditional SIEM and endpoint security solutions, reducing false positives and enhancing detection accuracy.
  • Act as a primary technical contact for the Security Operations Center (SOC) team, providing guidance on security monitoring, investigation, and incident response services.
  • Participate in Purple Team activities, working closely with the Red Team to continuously strengthen defensive capabilities.
  • Contribute to improving cyber defense processes by automating tasks, refining detection methodologies, and enhancing incident response playbooks.
  • Help integrate real-time threat intelligence feeds for continuous threat protection and monitoring.
  • Work closely with IT, operations, and business teams to align security measures with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of security into systems and processes.
  • Mentor and support team members in identifying and responding to security threats, fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and skill development.
