Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team as a Classification Expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out the full range of position classification and position management advisory services for assigned organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on classification and position management principles, concepts, practices, and techniques.
  • Analyze complex information to make sound decisions involving position management problems.
  • Maintain harmonious relations with managers, supervisors, employees, co-workers, and others to ensure cooperative resolution of conflicts.
  • Express ideas and concepts orally and in writing to ensure understanding and acceptance of findings in reports.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Knowledge of classification and position management concepts, principles, methods, practices, programs, and techniques sufficient to accomplish a wide range of complex, interrelated activities.
  • Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
