Job Summary

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is seeking a highly skilled Associate Operations Officer to provide operational and analytical support to our operations in Turkiye. As an Associate Operations Officer, you will contribute to projects preparation and implementation of activities, provide strategic analysis and briefing materials, and support engagement with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide operational and analytical support to IFC's operations in Turkiye, including projects preparation and implementation of activities.
  2. Contribute to the formulation and execution of country strategies and diagnostics, as well as support preparation of various briefing materials.
  3. Support IFC's project development activities, provide support during transaction execution and portfolio management.
  4. Work closely with IFC staff in the region to handle client relationships, identify, analyze, and address key country and sponsoring reputation risks.
  5. Maintain good working knowledge of current investment, advisory, and upstream operations in Turkiye, and support the Principal Country Officer in addressing queries from HQ management and staff.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in economics, finance, or a related field and at least 5-6 years of relevant experience in the MCT region, preferably in Turkiye.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the country, including politics, history, social dynamics, culture, economics, local markets, and regulatory framework.
  • Ability to read and anticipate shifts in market trends and their implications for IFC's current and future business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written, verbal communication, presentation abilities, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Turkish and English is required.
