About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sales Specialist in Istanbul. As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for selling Grid Integration solutions (HV/MV substations, Power Quality, e-mobility etc.) in accordance with Business Unit strategy and report to Marketing and Sales Manager for Türkiye.

You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements. Your strong communication and negotiation skills will enable you to develop and manage effective customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell the Hitachi Energy portfolio of products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, business model and profitability targets for assigned Operating Unit/Business Units/Product Groups.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Prepare sales plans using company tools. Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Create added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicate details in accordance with Hitachi Energy offering and strategy (scope, business model, delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions) in accordance with the required Hitachi Energy approval process and mandates.
  • E nsure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Ensure that the latest changes to Hitachi Energy portfolio and business models are communicated clearly to customers.
  • Support Market Managers and the Front End organization to identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
  • Manage administrative procedures in the sales processes and support collection and project management activities when needed. Analyze customers and projects and prepare necessary inputs/documentation for 'Go / No Go' & 'Bid / No Bid' decisions.
  • Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and terms and conditions in accordance with the required Hitachi Energy approval process and mandates.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A technical background (Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree is preferred);
  • At least 3 years of experience as Sales in a similar market; experience in High Voltage Systems and/or Power Quality Solutions is a plus;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to develop and manage customer relationships;
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with knowledge of working within process;
  • Excellent command of English and Turkish language both written and verbal;
  • Availability to travel inside Türkiye and abroad with a valid driving license.
