We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Urdu Editor to work with us at TRT in İstanbul, Turkey.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing written and visual content for reach, retention, and impact using audience insights and trends.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement audience engagement strategies for Urdu-language content across social media and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and platform teams to ensure cohesive Urdu storytelling.
  • Manage community interactions, monitor conversations, and enhance digital engagement.
  • Analyze performance data to refine strategies and improve key engagement metrics.
  • Ensure high editorial standards, including accuracy, clarity, and consistency in Urdu content.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Urdu-language editing, digital content, or audience engagement.
  • Strong understanding of platform algorithms, audience behavior, and content optimization.
  • Native-level proficiency in Urdu with excellent grammar, proofreading, and copy-editing skills.
  • Familiarity with editorial style guides.
  • Design and editing skills (experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, or similar tools is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Turkish is a plus.
