As a Transportation Coordinator at DB Schenker, you will be responsible for managing in-field operations and trailer management responsibilities.

In-Field Operations
  • You will control the general conditions of trailers, make necessary arrangements in case of trailer damage, and follow up on trailers traffic insurance transactions.
  • Additionally, you will keep originals of trailer licenses and conformity documents, provide communication and organizations with drivers, and ensure daily driver cards are kept.
  • You will also monitor mileage, diesel purchase, and consumption, calculate driver's monthly allowances, and follow up on annual inspection dates.
  • Furthermore, you will ensure deficiencies are eliminated if necessary for the vehicle whose inspection has arrived and organize TUV transactions.
Trailer Management
  • As our ideal candidate, you will maintain accurate records of daily trailer tracking lists and share information about empty equipment with relevant Operations units.
  • You will provide information about empty equipment to the sales department and facilitate the provision of vehicles for spot loads in addition to annual loads.
  • Our team relies on your ability to ensure the use of appropriate trailers according to the needs of the operation and monitor the monthly number of trips and utilization performance of the trailers.
  • You will report these metrics on a monthly basis and engage with domestic and foreign trucking companies and haulers to obtain offers and make annual agreements.

Working Location: We offer flexible work locations, allowing you to choose between İstanbul or İzmir.

Requirements:

  • You should hold a relevant bachelor's degree, preferably in the logistics field.
  • A good command of English is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in related business is preferred.
  • Familiarity with office programs is essential.
  • A strong understanding of transportation and customs legislation is also required.
