About the Role

The Senior Purchasing Specialist is a critical member of the procurement team, responsible for acquiring goods and services that meet the organization's needs while minimizing costs and maximizing value.

This role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive business growth, improve supply chain resilience, and enhance customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to navigate complex procurement processes and drive strategic objectives forward.

Key Accountabilities

  • Sourcing Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and organizational expectations.

  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, reduce risks, and improve overall value.

  • Cost Savings and Process Improvement: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Supply Chain Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks to ensure business continuity and resilience.

Requirements

  • Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent; a Master's degree in engineering or business discipline is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 7-8 years of experience in purchasing or sourcing within a manufacturing environment, with expertise in casting, metalworking, and machining parts.

  • Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Languages: Fluent in English.
