Position Summary:
Seeking a Senior QA Analyst
(Manual Testing with SQL)
in
Turkey (
Istanbul)
with 7+ years of QA experience to be responsible for all aspects of user acceptance testing and the quality assurance lifecycle pertaining to the Ecom industry. This includes end to end accountability to test the quality of the user experience through visual inspection and functional testing against established QA principles, methodology and guidelines. The QA Analyst will also be required to create manual test cases, execute test scripts, and participate in defect remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in team ceremonies, training, meetings, defect remediation, and metrics
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and engineering team members to understand, and review functional specifications, requirements, designs, and test cases.
  • Actively oversee reviews (functional and technical), identify, and help bridge gaps in requirements, particularly around use-cases and workflows (considers happy path, alternate paths, user-error, and system-error workflows)
  • Review, implement, maintain, and execute manual test cases.
  • Responsible for testing, tracking, and managing defects for one or more teams
  • Conduct regular Functional Test Coverage reviews, alert project leadership of any critical dependencies, risks, or constraints, and recommend remediation steps.
  • Responsible for test-plan implementation, test peer-reviews, test assignment, and actively seeking quick resolution of bugs based on their severity/priority.
  • Analyze test results to predict user behavior, identify bugs, and work with the project team to triage
  • Ensure delivery of the assigned project is on schedule and communicate risks on time.
  • Contribute to estimating efforts required, preparing test strategy for functional and regression testing
  • Maintain primary ownership of the QA environment(s), test data creation, and working closely with the project team, driving, and maintaining transparency and predictability for the release by sharing test summary reports at the end of each sprint.
  • Participate in mentoring, training, and guidance of junior and new team

Must – Have Skills/Experience Qualification:

  • Strong experience in manual testing for both desktop and mobile applications, including writing and executing SQL queries. Expertise in API testing with tools such as Postman
  • Proven ability to develop QA test plans, test strategies, and project staffing estimates.
  • Experience with test management tools such as Zephyr and Jira. Ability to validate software performance against established guidelines.
  • Skilled in writing, reviewing, and maintaining quality standards, test cases, and test procedures.
  • Strong background in usability, functional, and regression testing.
  • Hands-on experience with cross-device, cross-browser/OS, and screen resolution testing of web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in defect management tracking, reporting, and communicating status with developers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of the SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to create and analyze test data for data-driven testing.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members in QA methodologies, practices, and techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent, with 7+ years of QA experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced environments, while managing multiple priorities and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
