What we expect?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering,
• Fluency in English (written and spoken),
• Strong analytical thinking skills with effective problem-solving ability,
• Proven coordination, organizational, and communication skills with a strong teamwork approach,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center design, planning, and operations,
• Experience in working with multiple stakeholders in complex project environments,
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office, and Visio,
• Solid knowledge of RIBA stages for the projects,
• Solid knowledge of IT and network topologies, including infrastructure management, management systems, and related equipment (servers, storage, switches, etc.),
• Preferred certifications: ATD, AOS, Project Management (PMP/Prince2), ITIL,
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (certification preferred).

What Does the Senior Data Center Planning Engineer Role Do at Turkcell?

• Design, plan, and implement electromechanical systems, backbone infrastructure, and management platforms (DCIM, BMS, PMS, etc.) for new and existing data center projects in compliance with international standards and regulations (EN 50600, Uptime Institute, TIA, BICSI, etc.),
• Define, review, and update technical specifications, criteria, and fundamental design principles of data centers,
• Manage projects for new builds and existing data center upgrades, ensuring alignment with time, budget, and quality objectives (monitor, track, and report project progress),
• Contribute to feasibility studies of data center projects by defining technical requirements, forecasting CAPEX/OPEX budgets, and providing technical guidance,
• Define, oversee, and track installation and site deployment processes for data center infrastructure,
• Plan and manage capacity requirements for power, cooling, and backbone infrastructure,
• Design and organize white space layouts for new and existing facilities,
• Prepare technical documentations and requirements for the bidding and procurement process,
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers,
• Manage test & commissioning, and start-up & hand over activities for data center systems,
• Track global trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the data center industry,
• Conduct tests and Proof of Concept (PoC) studies for infrastructure equipment and innovative technologies,
• Perform risk assessments and gap analyses for existing data centers,
• Implement action plans and deliverables to mitigate identified risks,
• Identify and implement energy efficiency initiatives to optimize operational sustainability.
