Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Architect for our growing company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing modern data platforms both on-premises and in the cloud.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Technical Leadership:

• Lead the architectural design and implementation process.
• Collaborate with senior management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project goals, requirements, and timelines.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

Architecture Design:

• Design and architect a comprehensive data platform that includes data pipelines, data governance frameworks, and data storage solutions.
• Ensure the architecture supports seamless integration with existing systems and future scalability for advanced analytics and AI/ML applications.
• Develop and document architectural blueprints, standards, and guidelines.

Data Governance:

• Establish and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure the platform adheres to regulatory requirements.

Technology Evaluation and Implementation:

• Evaluate and select appropriate on-premises and cloud technologies to meet the project's needs.
• Oversee the implementation of chosen technologies, ensuring they are integrated effectively into the new data platform.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues during the implementation phase, providing solutions to mitigate risks.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business terms.
• Conduct regular progress updates, presentations, and technical workshops for stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the project team.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data architecture, cloud computing, and data governance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the data platform to enhance performance, scalability, and functionality.

Qualifications / Technical Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on large-scale modernization and automation projects.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data platforms on both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
• Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data management tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Advanced level of English proficiency is a must

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Familiarity with modern data analytics and AI/ML platforms.
