We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Affairs Manager to join our architecture & design company, supporting our growing local and international operations.

This role will work closely with senior management, project teams, and external partners to ensure strong financial governance within a fast-paced, creative, and multicultural environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in a similar managerial role.
  • Preferably experience in one of the Big 4 audit firms.
  • Strong background in accounting, budgeting, cash flow and bank relationship management.
  • Experience working with project-based companies (architecture, construction, engineering or creative industries is a plus).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Solid understanding of statutory legislation, taxation processes and financial reporting standards.
  • A proactive, organized, detail-oriented team player with strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting records, period-end closings, and financial reporting in line with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Manage audits, tax processes, compliance requirements and statutory deadlines.
  • Oversee payment schedules, payroll processes, and month-end closing activities.
  • Conduct cost analyses, support vendor negotiations, and contribute to improving financial efficiency across project budgets.
  • Implement legislative updates into accounting records and ensure proper classification, documentation and archiving.
  • Manage collections, customer reconciliations, and internal coordination for accurate reporting of project-based financials.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal departments, project managers and banks to ensure smooth execution of financial transactions.
  • Work closely with senior management and international partners on consolidated financial reporting and strategic planning.
  • Enhance and maintain the company's internal control environment.
  • Oversee cash flow, P&L management, and overall finance operations.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes and ensure KPIs are met.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly management reports.
  • Review and reconcile inventory or material counts with accounting systems (if applicable to project operations).
  • Conduct monthly evaluations of balance sheets and income statements of relevant business units.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal advisors and tax consultants to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations.
