JOB SUMMARY
Advance Lilly's Pricing, Reimbursement and Access (PRA) and Corporate Affairs (CA) efforts via appropriate outreach and advocacy with key relevant government stakeholders. Closely work with country GM, Regional and Area CAPRA Director, PRA & commercial teams and other colleagues to address regional and country-specific external challenges and optimize healthcare system reform, protect intellectual property, and speed medicines to market. Be an industry leader working individually and within industry associations on key public policy issues such as pricing, reimbursement, and overall speed to market access. Develop and implement key government advocacy programs and create and drive public private partnerships to enhance Lilly's image. CAPRA Director has ultimate accountability for the public relations function. Lead, coach and develop the PRA team in Türkiye.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve access for Lilly's priority and new products via a robust and successful submission and appropriate government advocacy strategy.
- Lead assessment of market access opportunities and challenges facing the company's emerging technologies and commercially marketed products and communicate business impact to senior management and to the region.
- Lead the work needed to ensure Lilly products pricing are in line with company strategy and ensure business sustainability.
- Lead development and implementation of government affairs strategy and action plan aligned to Lilly Türkiye's priorities.
- Lead development and communication of company positions/policies on key current and anticipated issues such as HTA, value of innovation, etc.
- Enhance Lilly's brand image of being reliable and trustworthy partner by providing practical and appropriate solutions to government leaders on health care reform and economic development issues.
- Help enhance the overall strength of the pharmaceutical industry by leading, coordinating, and participating in key priority activities of the associations.
- Successfully implement advocacy projects on time and on budget.
- Coordinate programs focusing on improving patient outcomes via health care reform as well as improving the investment climate and opportunities for innovative pharmaceutical companies, internally and externally.
- Engage confidently with government decision makers and other relevant stakeholders at the highest level.
- Communicate and work effectively with appropriate cross-functional teams that will include global functions (e.g. public policy, META/International CA/Corporate Communications/PRA/Advocacy, health outcomes group, pricing) as well as affiliate partners (e.g., marketing, medical, regulatory, finance etc.) to implement key programs.
- Ensure oversight on the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategy aligned to Lilly Türkiye's priorities in partnership with regional communications leader.
- Work as affiliate media spokesperson by using appropriate communication strategy and messages.
- Represent Lilly's interests and be the point-of-contact with external stakeholders: government, decision makers, policy makers, payers, industry associations, patient advocacy groups, patients and media.
- Monitor and control budget, forecasts and expenses associated with business plans and corporate affairs organization.
- Act in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and local regulations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree pharmacy, economics, health economics or related discipline
- At least 5+ years of experience in corporate affairs including pricing, reimbursement and access experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry
- Technical expertise in PRA at affiliate level
- Related experience with a pharma company or multinational company or in government with extensive knowledge of government, access processes, and decision makers
- Strong stakeholder management (external & internal) - ability to work comfortably and effectively with top level government officials across the political spectrum, association leaders (external) and senior leadership, lead teams, cross-functional & global partners (internal).
- Ability to create strategy, translate strategy to implementation tactics, and execute at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and sharp learning agility.
- Excellence in communication, negotiation, and supervisory skills.
- Resilience, maintaining a positive mindset even in difficult situations, and viewing challenges as learning opportunities.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Turkish
- Ability to travel regularly to Ankara for key stakeholder discussions.
