UNICEF carries out all its activities with voluntary donations. UNICEF Turkish National Committee is one of the 33 National Committees around the world that provides funding from individuals and corporates for UNICEF programmes in Türkiye and around the world.

The main objective of this role is to establish strong collaboration with corporates, institutions and business owners with high donation potential to achieve long-term growth strategies for the benefit of children. The Corporate Partnerships Director will be the key person to manage fundraising from corporate donors.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with Executive Director and the rest of UNICEF TMK to lead the organization
  • Lead the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy in order to increase corporate donation revenues
  • Ensure that the Corporate Partnerships department is fully equipped by establishing structures, processes, competencies and systems
  • Provide all information about Corporate Partnerships and fundraising for the annual Joint Strategic Plan and to prepare the annual plan
  • Identify and monitor key activities, required investment areas, KPIs (key performance criteria) and milestones by developing the fundraising plan, and lead the implementation of this plan to achieve the envisaged donation income
  • Identify corporate companies that can work together with UNICEF TMK within the framework of UNICEF criteria
  • Provide information about UNICEF's work both in the world and in Türkiye and to share these with donors and potential donors in accordance with their information needs. Ensure that donors support those projects that meet their goals.
  • Establish long-term donation agreements with corporate donors
  • Work with UNICEF's relevant units and other national committees
  • Fulfil UNICEF TMK responsibilities for the UNICEF Business Advisory Board
  • Increase income through diversified channels using various programs, such as UNICEF Wings, Inspired Gifts, events, etc.
  • Create a special Donor Experience Journey for each donor and effectively manage the donor relationship using the CRM system
  • Establish a long-term donor portfolio that will provide a sustainable source of income through the development of appropriate proposals and donor activities
  • Collaborate with the Individual Fundraising team by engaging corporate stakeholders' employees, customers, etc.
  • Manage key relationships with all stakeholders by identifying business forums that will benefit UNICEF TMK in order to strengthen UNICEF TMK's brand image in the business world
  • Proactively manage all risks within its scope
  • Follow the fundraising trends, legal changes and standards within its field in Turkey and abroad, and share them with UNICEF TMK
  • Determine and measure the goals and performance criteria of all members of the Corporate Partnerships department and to provide feedback to achieve the goals
  • Inspire and develop all members of the Corporate Partnerships team
Qualifications
  • Proven track record of corporate sales experience (min 5-7 years)
  • A high level of knowledge and experience in managing multinational organizations; international experience would be a distinct asset
  • Considerable experience in C-level relationship, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven negotiating and influencing capacity
  • Experience in project management
  • Fluent in English with strong written communication skills
  • University degree in the areas of economics, business administration, marketing, social sciences or other relevant fields from a reputable university
