About the Role

This Logistics Support Specialist position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Amazon's transportation network. As part of our Transportation Operation Center (TOC) team, you will be responsible for facilitating the flow of information between different stakeholders, including trans carriers, hubs, and warehouses.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify and resolve any potential issues that may impact customer experience and business continuity. This includes working closely with various teams, such as retail, finance, software support, and fulfillment centers, to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of freight.

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, analyzing data, identifying trends, and driving customer experience without compromising on time. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and understanding performance metrics to assist with driving business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with external customers (carriers, vendors/suppliers) and internal customers (retail, finance, software support, fulfillment centers)
  • Analyze data from various sources, including Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data management systems, to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Develop and understand performance metrics to drive business results
  • Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools used by TOC
  • Escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered
  • Work under various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
  • Provide excellent communication, both verbal and written, as required to create a narrative outlining weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these findings in a review forum
