At Amazon, we're seeking a skilled Operations Manager to join our team at the Delivery Stations. As an inspiring leader, you'll play a key role in maintaining customer expectations and ensuring that orders are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Amazon associates, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards, promoting a safe working environment and encouraging colleagues to report any concerns or issues.
  • Collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet business objectives and drive process improvements.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean tools and methodologies to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • You'll work in a fast-paced environment, requiring physical activity such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching varying weights.
A Day in the Life

As an Operations Manager, you'll work closely with peers to ensure that all workflows run smoothly, and customer expectations are met or exceeded. You'll be responsible for driving efficiency improvements, reducing costs, and enhancing overall performance.

Basic Qualifications
  • Working experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field is essential.
  • Experience as a manager, involving sizable teams, is required; you should be a natural motivator with excellent leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities, conducting Dive Deep analysis on complex processes to drive improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for success in this role.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays, is required.
  • Australia work authorization without sponsorship is necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or Relevant Amazon Experience is preferred.
  • Competence in managing ambiguity, thriving in a dynamic environment, and ability to make informed decisions quickly are essential.
  • Previous experience of planning, performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean or Kaizen techniques and methodologies is highly beneficial.
