In the Europe and Central Asia region, we face a growing learning crisis. While most children access education, the quality and learning outcomes remain a major challenge.

There are currently 24 million children in ECA who are considered out of learning (out of school and/or in school but not learning), representing 40% of the school age population.

To address this crisis, we need to rethink how we approach education. We must use innovative approaches, such as digital learning, to reach more children and improve learning outcomes.

As a Digital Learning Transformation Expert at UNICEF, you will play a key role in leading our efforts to transform education systems in the ECA region.

Your expertise in digital learning will be essential in helping us develop and implement effective solutions to address the learning crisis.

You will work closely with governments, educators, and other stakeholders to design and deliver programs that promote digital literacy and improve learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of digital learning strategies and programs in the ECA region.
  • Collaborate with governments, educators, and other stakeholders to design and deliver programs that promote digital literacy and improve learning outcomes.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with private sector companies, NGOs, and other organizations to support digital learning initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building to governments and educators to enhance their skills and knowledge in digital learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital learning programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in digital learning, education technology, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of digital learning trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
