JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Sales Executive-Luxury
Department: Management
Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Sales Strategy and Implementation:
Develop a sales strategy aligned with the company's objectives, set sales targets, ensure their achievement and surpass them. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand the collector base. Create and apply innovative marketing and sales methods.
2. Benchmarking and Positioning Analysis:
Analyze national and international art market trends; monitor pricing and collector behaviors to keep strategies up to date. Stay informed about competitor activities.
3. Client Development:
Establish, maintain, and leverage strong long-term relationships with private collectors, curators, art advisors, and corporate clients, both locally and internationally. Responsible for managing A+ segment client relationships.
4. Art Sales:
Apply accurate pricing strategies in artwork sales. Manage the entire sales process, including client presentations, negotiations, pricing consultancy, and all related documentation (invoices, contracts, etc.).
5. Sales Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports; conduct budget reporting based on sales channel efficiency and warehouse stock cost analysis.
6. Market Representation:
Represent the gallery and its artists/programs at major international fairs, auctions, and collector events.
7. Exhibition and Program Support:
Develop collaborations for exhibitions, events, and special projects to enhance company visibility. Provide input on artworks to be purchased or taken on consignment, and cooperate with the team on upcoming exhibition strategies.
8. Collaboration with the Communications Team:
Work together to develop targeted campaigns for specific audiences.
9. Artwork Presentation Files:
Prepare detailed presentation files for artworks.
10. Artist Sales Management:
Oversee the sales processes of the gallery's represented artists, provide updates to artists, and track artist payment shares.
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field
- Excellent command of English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience with A+ segment clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Asana, Adobe, ArtLogic, Google Workspace, SketchUp, and InDesign
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Responsible, team-oriented, and persuasive
- Strong organizational and budgeting skills; ability to manage complex processes and data; analytical mindset
- Advanced sales competencies
- No travel restrictions
