What you'll do

Vodafone Fixed Access Engineering team works on mainly the residential business and focuses on improving CX, profitability and enhancing our core product, the network. This role needs to be a bridge between several different teams to make the stakeholders understand why the NW is important, how can we improve it together and how can we solve our problems to drive the business forward.

• With the extensive knowledge of fixed domain, the candidate must support the business with new ideas, innovative challenges with the aim of enhancing our core product, the network. This includes;

  1. Data analysis and insight generation
  2. New technology introduction and beating the market (higher speed, better CX, new product & service integrations)
  3. Business acumen and an understanding of P&L management

• Communicate and collaborate with vendors, identify areas of growth and work with the vendors & internal stakeholders

• Extensive stakeholder management between the NW, business and IT teams to improve overall Fixed NW performance and profitability

• Assume E2E responsibility of the Fixed Networks within Vodafone Turkey which includes;
  1. FTTx, xDSL, Docsis architecture
  2. Working of various IP Fundamentals and Protocols (PPPoE, IPoE, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN)
  3. HLD/LLD level work on various nodes such as BRAS, Core routers, Radius protocol, OLT/DSLAM etc.
  4. CPE architecture and management including in-home experience

• Making sure that our fixed network nodes are visible, measurable and customers experience is satisfied.

• KPI tracking, identifying when issues arise and driving action

• Improve overall tracking of the networks and work on understanding the needs of the customers. Driving change from KPIs to KQIs with relevant teams.
Who you are


• University degree in computer engineering, electronics engineering, telecommunications engineering or related disciplines from a reputable university

• Knowledge about IP connectivity and protocols

• Basic Knowledge about OSI Layer Protocols

• In-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols; specifically BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP and ISIS.

• Solid knowledge of IP technology and of Fixed networks requirements and characteristics.

• Understanding of fundamental network services like DHCP, DNS, NTP, TFTP, FTP, Telnet, SSH, HTTP(S),

• Network Management protocols and tools based on SNMP and TR-069,

• Knowledge about Access technology and terminology about OLT, ONT, DSLAM, FTTX, GPON, XGSPON, xDSL, CPE, AP, MESH, ACS server,

• Outstanding ability in analysis / Problem Solving with data.

• Business & growth mindset

• Strong team-working and cooperation skills to evolve the business

• Good level of English
