Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • At least 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles within the aviation, telecommunications, or satellite communications industries, with a strong focus on in-flight connectivity (IFC) systems
  • Proven experience in preparing procedures, process flow charts, and RASCI matrices, with the ability to define clear roles and responsibilities across teams
  • Deep understanding of aviation industry standards (such as DO-178, DO-160, and ARINC specifications) and experience setting up and documenting systems in compliance with these standards
  • Strong knowledge of GEO/LEO/MEO satellite systems and ground networks, with experience in integrating and documenting these systems within the IFC architecture
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with experience preparing detailed technical manuals, user guides, and system documentation
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable processes and documentation for a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams and external partners
  • PMP or similar project management certification is an asset
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the team.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IFC System Team Leader who can not only lead a technical team but also take ownership of defining and documenting key processes in line with aviation standards. This role requires strong expertise in preparing procedures, flow charts, and RASCI matrices to support team functions, as well as establishing and documenting systems according to aviation standards. You will work closely with various internal teams to ensure that all workflows are efficient, compliant, and well-documented, contributing to the continuous improvement of the IFC program.

  • Develop and document detailed procedures and flow charts for the department's technical operations, optimizing workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance with aviation standards.
  • Prepare and maintain RASCI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrices to define team roles and responsibilities for effective coordination.
  • Set up and document systems in line with aviation standards (DO-178, DO-160, ARINC specifications), ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and technical requirements.
  • Oversee the integration of GEO/LEO/MEO satellite systems and ground networks within the IFC system architecture, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Support the sales team by preparing and reviewing technical specifications and ensuring that all requirements are translated into actionable technical documents.
  • Collaborate with engineering and software development teams to ensure that all technical processes are correctly documented, facilitating smooth project execution.
  • Ensure that after-sales technical support processes, including system troubleshooting, maintenance, and spare parts management, are well-documented and communicated to both internal teams and customers.
  • Create comprehensive project documentation, including technical manuals, user guides, and system specifications, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team, including Configuration Engineers, Avionics System Engineers, and IFC Project Specialists, providing guidance on both technical and procedural tasks.
  • Manage the preparation and organization of technical proposals, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with customer requirements during the sales process.
  • Facilitate collaboration between departments, including sales, engineering, and software development, ensuring that both technical and commercial requirements are met.
  • Support and guide the team in the development and documentation of processes and systems, ensuring alignment with overall project and company goals.
  • Continuously monitor and improve internal workflows, implementing changes to optimize team performance and system efficiency.
  • Report regularly to the IFC Program Director on the status of processes, system documentation, and team progress, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
