
Customer Experience Coordinator

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to its guests. As a Customer Experience Coordinator at The Peninsula Istanbul, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience.
The Peninsula Istanbul, situated along the breathtaking Bosphorus waterfront in the historic district of Karaköy, offers guests a unique blend of vibrant Turkish culture and world-class hospitality within Galataport, a stunning new waterfront revitalisation project.
Your key responsibilities will include striving to continuously improve guest experiences and living and breathing The Peninsula Service Principles. This entails seeking out improvements for better service standards and anticipating guest needs.
You will take ownership of daily operational challenges within the Guest Experience Team, including service recovery, continuous coverage, and efficient service delivery. Additionally, you will support managers in ensuring that all new team members receive an in-depth induction program in line with defined guidelines and maintain a high level of understanding and awareness of the Service Principles.
To maximise Room and Front Office revenue, you will implement initiatives such as room upselling. Proper inventory control of room availability and overseeing allocation according to special requests and preferences are also essential.
Closely collaborating with the Rooms Controller, Housekeeping, and Engineering teams is vital to guarantee that all rooms are ready to be occupied and maintained in excellent condition. This includes ensuring VIP rooms are ready for guest arrival and setting up respective amenities accordingly.
You will establish close guest contact, manage guest feedback, and ensure elevated service recovery to exceed guest expectations, all while adhering to the Peninsula Service Principles.
In terms of general requirements, thorough knowledge of customer service needs and techniques, office management, and good working knowledge of operational finance/procedures are essential. Good organisational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and people skills, problem-solving skills, and exceptional presentation are also crucial.
