Burckhardt Compression is a leading provider of compression solutions for a sustainable energy future. We are seeking an experienced Sales Expert to join our team in Istanbul.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment sales, preferably with experience in aftersales operations. They will be responsible for promoting our products and services via mailing, advertising, phone calls, and other means.

The day-to-day activities of this role will include:

  1. Promoting the company's products and services through various marketing channels.
  2. Assisting in the development of annual plans and realistic forecasts for each product and territory based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy, and sales effort.
  3. Managing assigned geographic sales areas to maximize sales revenues and meet objectives.
  4. Developing business plans and promoting the company's presence throughout the region while conducting market reviews.
  5. Preparing and coordinating price quotations, technical offers, and order confirmations while checking them against purchase orders.

The QMS (Quality Management System) / EOHS related tasks and responsibilities for this role include:

  1. Creating QMS/EOHS related sub-documents as required and keeping them up to date.
  2. Ensuring that only safety-compliant work equipment and PPE are used as intended.
  3. Recording, clarifying, and documenting accidents and near-misses.
  4. Developing and maintaining a high level of consciousness about Q/EOHS concepts and issues.
  5. Participating in toolbox talks, mock drills, and safety walks with other employees.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration, or a relevant field, or equivalent job experience (minimum 5 years without a degree).
  2. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  3. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably with experience in aftersales operations.
  4. Technical/commercial knowledge or a professional background in rotating equipment is a plus.
  5. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must. Being a Turkish native speaker and knowledge of another foreign language (preferably Russian) is a plus.
  6. Customer mindset, business acumen, and market understanding.
  7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multinational environment.
  8. Proactive, self-disciplined, target-oriented, trustworthy, and loyal personality.
  9. No military obligation for male candidates.
  10. Valid driving license (class B) and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis.
