We are looking for a Sales Specialist to support our team in Istanbul. This role will also support and drive quality and EOHS topics locally in close alignment with the global Quality/EOHS organisation and local management.

Your day will be filled with:

  • Promote the products and services offered by Burckhardt Compression via mailing, advertising, phone calls
  • Assist in the development of the annual plan, realistic forecasts for each product and territory based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort
  • Assist with managing the assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet objectives
  • Assist in the development of the business plan, and promoting the organization's presence throughout the region and in carrying out market reviews
  • Assist with carrying out market reviews
  • Prepare and coordinate price quotations (spare parts, valve repair, revamp & upgrade, other), technical offers and order confirmations while checking them against purchase orders

QMS (Quality Management System) / EOHS related tasks and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Create QMS/EOHS related sub-documents (as per supervisor's instructions) when required, and keep them up to date
  • Ensure that only safety-compliant work equipment and PPE for all work is used as intended
  • Record, clarify, and document accidents, near-misses
  • Develop and maintain a high level of consciousness about Q/EOHS concepts and issues
  • Participate in the toolbox talks, mock drills and safety walks with other employees of BCTR

As an ideal candidate you should have the following experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration or relevant fields, or equivalent job experience (minimum 5 years in case of a lack of degree)
  • Master's degree or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably with experience in aftersales operations
  • Technical/commercial knowledge or professional background in rotating equipment is a plus
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must. Being a Turkish native speaker and another foreign language (preferably Russian) knowledge is a plus
  • Customer mindset, business acumen and market understanding
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multinational environment
  • Proactive, self-disciplined, target-oriented, trustable and loyal personality
  • No military obligation for male candidates
  • Valid driving license (class B) and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis
