Europe and Central Asia Regional Programme Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced programme manager to lead our regional programme in Europe and Central Asia. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex programmes, building partnerships, and delivering results.
Key Responsibilities- Programme Management
- Oversee the implementation of our regional programme, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and monitoring of programme activities.
- Budget management: manage the programme budget, ensure financial transparency and accountability.
- Partnership development: establish and maintain relationships with country and regional actors, development partners, and civil society organisations.
- Technical Assistance and Capacity Building
- Provide technical assistance to grantees, ensuring alignment with UN Trust Fund priorities and regional relevance.
- Capacity enhancement: build the capacity of grantee partners through training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and implement effective M&E systems to monitor programme performance, identify areas for improvement, and measure impact.
- Education
- Masters degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Political Science, Development, Public Administration, Gender Studies, or related field.
- Experience
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in programme management, including programme design, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building in the area of ending violence against women.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with the socio-political context and EVAW landscape in the Europe and Central Asia region.
- Strong programme formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation skills.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a decentralized structure, managing relationships across multiple locations and time zones.
- Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian).
The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $93,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
