Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Business Development & Growth Management
    • Develop and implement long-term growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
    • Identify new market opportunities and create entry strategies.
    • Establish strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and licensing agreements.
    • Expand the company's product portfolio by researching new pharmaceuticals, generics, and biotechnology products.
    • Develop strategies for international market expansion and oversee global business development opportunities.
  2. Client & Business Partner Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, government agencies, and private healthcare institutions.
    • Negotiate with potential clients and business partners to establish collaborations.
    • Maintain long-term relationships with drug manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
    • Manage strategic partnerships to support company growth.
  3. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
    • Conduct in-depth market research on industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs.
    • Provide insights for new product development based on market demand.
    • Perform SWOT analysis of target markets to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Monitor changes in the global pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory updates and innovations.
  4. Sales & Marketing Strategy Development
    • Develop strategies to increase product market penetration.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to achieve targeted sales volumes through innovative strategies.
    • Support marketing and promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility.
    • Implement digital marketing, patient-centered strategies, and engagement plans with healthcare professionals.
  5. Financial Management & Profitability Analysis
    • Prepare budgets for business development initiatives and ensure optimal resource allocation.
    • Analyze financial performance, including sales revenue, profit margins, and return on investment (ROI).
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining profitability.
    • Assist in financial forecasting and strategic planning to optimize company growth.
  6. Product Development & Launch Support
    • Work closely with R&D, regulatory affairs, and production teams to introduce new pharmaceutical products.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and liaise with regulatory authorities.
    • Develop go-to-market strategies and product positioning plans.
    • Monitor the performance of new product launches and adjust strategies accordingly.
  7. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, regulatory affairs, and supply chain departments.
    • Coordinate with international business partners for expansion into global markets.
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events.
    • Lead internal teams to execute strategic business initiatives effectively.

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years in business development, sales, or marketing within the pharmaceutical industry.

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, clinical trials, drug development, and distribution channels.

Technical & Business Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulations, drug development, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth market research and data analysis.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, business intelligence tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of financial forecasting, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and regulatory landscapes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet business targets.
