SALES ASSOCIATE

Anna Laudel is looking for an experienced Sales Associate to join the team in Istanbul full-time.

Established in Istanbul in 2012, Anna Laudel is a contemporary art center with a diverse roster of artists, in regards to their backgrounds, media and artistic styles. Led by Anna Laudel and directed by Ferhat Yeter, the gallery promotes Turkish and international artists. With galleries in Istanbul, Düsseldorf, and Bodrum, Anna Laudel engages audiences globally and participates in renowned art fairs. Committed to showcasing artists at varying career stages and embracing diverse artistic choices, Anna Laudel reflects the vibrant range and evolving dynamics of the contemporary art world.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Associate to join our team at Anna Laudel Gallery. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with clients, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales within our gallery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and assist gallery visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  2. Provide information about artists, artworks, and exhibitions to clients
  3. Assist clients in selecting artworks that meet their preferences and budget
  4. Educate clients about art techniques, styles, and trends
  5. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  6. Stay informed about current art market trends and industry developments
  7. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales targets and goals

Requirements:

  1. Min. 3 years of previous experience in sales, preferably in an art gallery or similar environment
  2. Passion for art and a strong understanding of different artistic styles and movements
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Fluency in both Turkish and Business English at an advanced level, both spoken and written, is essential. Proficiency in any additional languages is a plus
  5. Proficiency in Mac, Microsoft Office suite
  6. Knowledge of Artlogic, Artnet, Artsy, Shopify & Instagram database
  7. Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in marketing and promoting art
  8. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including point-of-sale systems
  9. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  11. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  12. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for gallery events and openings
