This role involves handling customer inquiries and providing support to identify the best solution for their applications based on our Measurement Solutions Product Portfolio. The successful candidate will prepare offers, sell complete product solutions, and provide commercial and technical assistance to customers while maintaining high standards of customer service in accordance with our Think Customer principles.
Main Responsibilities:- Qualify customer requests for quotation to ensure that a quote meets the customers' application and operational needs through pre-qualifications.
- Prepare customer quotations that are timely, technically accurate, commercially verified, and offering the best all-round solution.
- Provide expert advice on technical solutions and benefits.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in CRM.
- Negotiate sales orders within agreed delegation of authority.
- Ensure that purchase orders are commercially complete and accurate before processing for order entry in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Communicate with manufacturing locations for queries regarding lead-time, specials, etc.
- Follow-up on quotations with customers as agreed with Outside Sales.
- Provide after-sales service to customers.
- Attend customer meetings as required, including customer site visits.
- Ensure activities are carried out in line with agreed departmental KPIs.
- Attend relevant technical and commercial training as required to maintain a high level of product and process knowledge, including new products as and when released.
