Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our inside sales team as a Sales and Business Development Professional.

This role will play a crucial part in coordinating sales activities, sourcing aircraft parts, and managing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of hardware and parts in the aviation industry and expertise in sourcing.

About Us

OMI Specialty Products is a leading supplier to the aviation industry since 1968. We specialize in supplying aircraft parts, chemicals, hardware, and raw materials to airlines, MROs, and OEMs across both civil and defense sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receive daily tasks from the sales department manager and follow up on customer RFQs (Request for Quotations)
  2. SOURCE RFQ items using database history, ILS, PartsBase, and other tools
  3. Organize cross-functional tasks with procurement, shipping, and sales coordinators
  4. Prepare and submit customer quotes daily using ERP software
  5. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues related to rejected items, stock shortages, lead times, and other customer order concerns
  6. Manage the department in the absence of the sales manager
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and parts in the aviation industry and expertise in sourcing
  • Previous experience in aviation brokering, MRO, or trading is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Power BI (Quantum) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Flexible working hours to overlap with our California office when necessary
