We are looking for a Sales Specialist to support our team in Istanbul. This role will also support and drive quality and EOHS topics locally in close alignment with the global Quality/EOHS organisation and local management.

Your day will be filled with:

  1. Promote the products and services offered by Burckhardt Compression via mailing, advertising, phone calls.
  2. Assist in the development of the annual plan and realistic forecasts for each product and territory based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy, and sales effort.
  3. Assist with managing the assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet objectives.
  4. Assist in the development of the business plan and promoting the organization's presence throughout the region while carrying out market reviews.
  5. Prepare and coordinate price quotations (spare parts, valve repair, revamp & upgrade, other), technical offers, and order confirmations while checking them against purchase orders.

QMS (Quality Management System) / EOHS related tasks and responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Create QMS/EOHS related sub-documents (as per supervisor's instructions) when required, and keep them up to date.
  2. Ensure that only safety-compliant work equipment and PPE for all work is used as intended.
  3. Record, clarify, and document accidents and near-misses.
  4. Develop and maintain a high level of consciousness about Q/EOHS concepts and issues.
  5. Participate in toolbox talks, mock drills, and safety walks with other employees of BCTR.

As an ideal candidate, you should have the following experiences:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration, or relevant fields, or equivalent job experience (minimum 5 years in case of a lack of degree).
  2. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  3. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably with experience in aftersales operations.
  4. Technical/commercial knowledge or professional background in rotating equipment is a plus.
  5. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a must. Being a Turkish native speaker and knowledge of another foreign language (preferably Russian) is a plus.
  6. Customer mindset, business acumen, and market understanding.
  7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multinational environment.
  8. Proactive, self-disciplined, target-oriented, trustworthy, and loyal personality.
  9. No military obligation for male candidates.
  10. Valid driving license (class B) and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis.
