Program Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our humanitarian operations in northwest Syria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in humanitarian assistance, public health, and social sciences, with at least 7 years of experience in coordinating and implementing humanitarian interventions.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of women and girls affected by crisis. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination of UNFPA's humanitarian program, including planning, implementing, and monitoring humanitarian responses. You will work closely with UN agencies, Syrian and international NGOs, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality SRH and GBV services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement humanitarian response plans, ensuring alignment with UNFPA's global mandate and commitments.
  • Lead inter-agency coordination and partnerships, including representation at Cluster/Working Group meetings.
  • Mobilize resources and coordinate funding appeals and proposals, advocating for inclusion of SRH and GBV needs.
  • Provide regular updates and inputs to SitReps, donor briefs, and formal written progress reports.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation.
Requirements
  • Advanced university degree in Humanitarian Assistance, Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, Gender, or related fields.
  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in coordinating and implementing humanitarian interventions.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and organizational skills, with ability to work efficiently under high pressure.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams to achieve demonstrable results.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with fluency in English required.
  • Knowledge of Arabic is a strong asset.
