We are looking for a Commercial Manager to be assigned to our Commercial Operations department located in İstanbul HQ.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance, MBA or master's degree.
  • At least 10 years' experience required, preferably in an international environment specialized in Africa region.
  • Experience in the energy sector.
  • Preferably experienced in commercial management of international investment projects in the energy sector, with sectoral knowledge and experience.
  • High level of understanding in financial and commercial data on business contracts and reports.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, coordination and negotiation skills are essential, capable of carrying out internal and external multilateral communication.
  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent command of MS Office Applications.
  • High level of presentation skills.
  • Financial understanding and business mindset.
  • An outstanding eye for detail with a drive to provide exceptional support in improvement of projects' commercial performances.
  • Ability to perform in a complex cross-functional business environment.
  • Ability to work well as part of a strategic team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, completing multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Keen and effective team player.
  • No restrictions for travelling.

WHAT AWAITS YOU?

On the Project Management Aspect:

  • To monitor compliance of the projects that are managed in the countries of operation with the contract, in coordination with Country/Project Managers. To analyze, consolidate the project data and be responsible for management reporting. In this context to attend all meetings, negotiations and involve all decision processes regarding the signed contract scope and obligations.
  • To follow up project schedules, budget, and financial performance of the projects.
  • To regularly monitor and report the financial performance on contract basis by making monthly budget comparisons, financial statement analysis, operating costs, and profit - loss analysis related to the countries of operation. To monitor the variance and deviations that affect the budget of the projects, to analyze budget deviations, to perform cost analysis and monitor the management of costs in accordance with the budget.
  • To perform studies to improve profitability of the projects in case necessity coordinate the Technical Team and relevant stakeholders for this purpose and get the approval of senior management to ensure sustainability of the improvement.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly invoices and follow up collections, to report periodically on country basis.
  • To perform risk analysis of the contracts. Consolidate the risk data gathered from related other departments and report on contract basis.
  • To perform financial analysis and feasibility studies for the new product/service opportunities in the country of operation. Analyze risks and opportunities.
  • To support Commercial Operations Director to prepare contract draft of new projects that are developed in the country of operation, to attend contract negotiations.
  • To perform regularly financial performance analysis and report to senior management, to propose needed new strategies and improvement projects.
  • To define the project milestones that are under responsibility of KPS and Country Administration within the scope of contract, to monitor the schedule, budget and compliance to the contract scope.
  • To be responsible for cost control through Profit & Loss reports and suggestion to the management for possible improvements.

On the Business Development Aspect:

  • Coordinates and controls various transaction activities on regional scope.
  • Initiates business relationships with investors, developers, consultants.
  • Follow the sector trends in global markets and to support business development activities related to potential overseas projects in line with company policies.
  • Carry out necessary analyses about the projects and develop implementation proposals.
  • Engage in new investment activities, conduct project feasibility and valuation studies and ensure implementation of plans.
  • Conduct competitor analyses related to the company's business activities and to direct company strategies depending on the possible plans of the competitors.
  • Take part in bid and contract processes.
  • Conduct and coordinate internal and external communication for the projects for which he/she is responsible.
  • Identifying new business development opportunities and growth initiatives while thoroughly assessing macro and sector specific developments.
  • Researching, gathering, and analyzing data on various strategic business development opportunities in different markets and providing insights and solutions.
  • Compile periodic market developments and project status reports for advising top management and providing strategic insights regarding potential risks, opportunities, and other aspects of the process.
  • Doing preliminary studies about Powership tenders, offers and business development processes on technical and commercial scopes and supporting sales team.
  • Conduct technical reviews within the team as well as prepared executive review sessions with both internal and external management teams.
