Position DescriptionThe key objective of this role will be to develop sales strategies and tactical implementation of Applied Medical products in assigned territory as well as ensuring effective introduction of new products. The Territory Manager will work closely with the local Field Implementation Management Team, as well as the Clinical Development, Clinical Education, Field Operations, and Customer Service.
As a Territory Manager you are responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Ensure effective introduction of new products and obsolescence of discontinued products in the regional market.
- Work closely with and support the Sales management team to develop sales strategies and define the tactical implementation of Applied Medical products.
- Provide training and clinical operating room (OR) support.
- Manage the full range of products in the assigned territory.
- Set business and revenue goals and objectives, as well as strategies to achieve them.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with contacts from assigned accounts.
- Deliver the highest levels of clinical support and services to assigned accounts.
- Exceed quota expectations as established by management.
- Conduct market research on tenders, surgery statistics, and the competitive environment.
- Guide other field implementation specialists in scope of work and responsibilities.
- Provide counseling and advice when needed by more junior members in the field.
- Attend orientation, education & scrub sessions.
- Organize and attend conferences for surgeons and other medical staff.
- Regularly attend company meetings, product training and presentations.
- Keep up with the latest clinical data and communicate this information to health professionals.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- A degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a relevant medical field is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in the medical devices or healthcare distribution sectors.
- Expertise in the surgical device segment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical products, devices, and healthcare services.
- In-depth knowledge of the medical device market within the assigned territory.
- General and laparoscopic sales experience.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit driven by ambition and goal achievement.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience working closely with surgeons, OR directors, nurse managers, clinical coordinators, nurse educators, and materials management.
- Established strong relationships in the surgical field.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Capacity to commute and visit different accounts within the territory.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and payment schemes in the medical industry.
