As a Sea Logistics Sales Representative at Kuehne+Nagel, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our Sea Logistics business through effective customer relationships and business development.

Your Role

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the trade-lane(s) in terms of geography, service offerings, sailings, transit times, reliability, specific country documentation regulations, local standards, operational requirements, and industry/goods/commodity traded on the particular routes.

You will spend most of your time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business, and working closely with the Customer Care Personnel on the same customers.

The role requires taking pricing decisions in alignment with the Customer Care Manager, following Trade Management/Pricing recommendations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Generating new business opportunities with a clear focus on SMEs.
  • Taking pricing decisions in alignment with the Customer Care Managers.
  • Preparing quotations using our online tools and submitting proposals to customers.
  • Demonstrating superior Sea Logistics product and trade knowledge.
  • Delivering presentations about our main Sea Logistics products.
  • Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
  • Reporting customer complaints to the Customer Care Team.
  • Aligning with the Customer Care Team when onboarding new customers and providing robust and complete content in the Customer Promise/CCL handover form.
  • Using CoreLOG to maintain and update customer information.
  • Performing related CRM tasks/activities, Regularly reviewing the customers' portfolio with the CCL managers and Customer Care Team.
  • Closing customer deals.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive track record of professional experience and success as a field sales representative in the forwarding/logistics sector.
  • A reliable, trustworthy, and serious demeanor.
  • Excellent negotiating and closure skills, ability to work on your own initiative and in a highly organized way.
  • A good knowledge of spoken and written English and native Turkish.
  • Very good computer skills, particularly MS Office.
  • A valid driving license and ability to travel.
